1. Agreement and seller
These Terms are between you and the Canadian corporation operating the Lo-Key brand (“Lo-Key,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The legal corporate name and seller contact details will be shown at checkout and on the order confirmation. By submitting an order, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them.
2. Product status and pre-orders
While the storefront displays “Coming soon,” product information is provided for evaluation and no availability promise is made. When pre-orders open, the estimated dispatch window and whether payment is collected immediately will be disclosed before the order is submitted. Development, manufacturing, certification, or supply conditions may change the estimate.
3. Product purpose and limitations
Lo-Key is designed to reduce exposure to relay attacks by disconnecting power from an idle compatible key fob and restoring power after movement. It does not prevent all vehicle theft methods, replace insurance, guarantee recovery, or guarantee that a vehicle cannot be stolen.
4. Compatibility and installation
You are responsible for checking the battery marking, compartment clearance, contact arrangement, and vehicle information before ordering and installing the product. Compatibility results are based on available data and testing but may vary by region, trim, key-fob revision, or replacement remote. Stop using the product if it becomes hot, damaged, swollen, punctured, wet, or mechanically deformed.
5. Orders, acceptance, and cancellation
An order confirmation acknowledges receipt but does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. We may cancel or limit an order because of inventory, pricing error, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions, or product availability and will refund amounts collected for the cancelled portion. Customers may request pre-order cancellation before fulfilment begins.
6. Price, tax, shipping, and payment
Prices are shown in the currency identified on the storefront. Applicable sales tax, shipping charges, and any optional services are disclosed before the order is submitted. International customers may be responsible for import duties, brokerage, or local taxes unless checkout states otherwise. Payment is handled by the checkout provider and payment processor.
7. Delivery, returns, and warranty
Delivery is governed by the Shipping & delivery policy. Returns and refunds are governed by the Returns & refunds policy. Manufacturing defects are governed by the Limited warranty. Those policies form part of these Terms.
8. Reviews and submitted content
You must have the right to submit any review, image, or message you provide. You grant Lo-Key a non-exclusive right to host, moderate, reproduce, and display an approved review for storefront and promotional purposes. We may decline or remove content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, private, irrelevant, or not based on genuine experience.
9. Intellectual property
The website, product designs, software, text, graphics, logos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Lo-Key and may not be copied, modified, or commercially used without permission, except as allowed by law.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lo-Key is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of use, lost profits, or loss arising from vehicle theft. Any limitation does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law or to liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. Questions may be submitted through the contact form.
