Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to the Lo-Key website, customer-support communications, vehicle compatibility requests, product reviews, and related online services. A third-party checkout or payment service may apply its own privacy policy to information it collects directly.
Information you provide
- Contact and order information submitted through checkout or support, such as name, email, shipping address, order number, and message content.
- Launch-notification email addresses submitted through the “Notify Me” form.
- Review information, including display name, country, vehicle, rating, title, review text, and optional purchase-verification information.
- Vehicle requests, including year, make, model, and one or more key-fob battery sizes.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical and security information needed to operate and protect the site, such as IP address, browser or user-agent information, timestamps, and Cloudflare security signals.
- Add-to-cart analytics containing quantity, event source, page URL, and timestamp. These events are used as aggregate storefront analytics and do not intentionally include a customer name or email address.
- A local-storage cart record in your browser so the selected quantity can remain while you browse.
How we use information
We use information to provide support, send requested product-availability notifications, process and fulfil orders, verify purchases, moderate and publish reviews, improve vehicle compatibility data, understand storefront usage, prevent abuse, maintain records, and comply with legal obligations.
When information is shared
Information may be processed by service providers that help host, secure, operate, analyse, pay for, or deliver the service, including Cloudflare, Shopify or another checkout provider, payment processors, carriers, professional advisers, and authorities where legally required. We do not sell personal information.
Review publication
Approved reviews may publicly display the submitted display name, country, vehicle, rating, title, review text, date, and verified-purchase status. Order numbers, purchase emails, and moderation records are not intended for public display.
Retention and safeguards
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, legal and accounting requirements, dispute resolution, security, and backups. We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction, and deletion requests
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask that information be deleted where applicable. Use the contact form and choose “Privacy request.” We may need to verify identity before completing a request.
International processing and changes
Service providers may process information outside your province or country, where it may be subject to local law. We may update this policy as the product and website develop; the latest version and revision date will remain posted here.
